The slimmed down version of the flagship Trophy jean. This model has a more modern, tapered cut, which looks great with sneakers. The top block and thigh is slimmer, the leg is straight, slim below the knee to the hem, making them also perfect to wear with engineer boots.
On this model only Trophy use an “L” shaped bar tack stitch in stress places to eliminate the need for hidden rivets.
The denim is a very loose weave, giving an irregular surface like the surface of a road before it is paved, hence Dirt Denim. The texture is rough and extremely hairy with a beautiful depth and variation of colour, and features a two colour selvedge seam. It is woven on old power looms by craftsmen with years of experience in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.
Trophy use poly-cotton thread for greater strength of varying thickness depending on the location of the seam or stress point.
The hem is chain stitched on a Union Special machine to give the vintage puckering effect, adding to the character of the jean.
All Dirt Denim jeans are one washed, so shrinkage is minimal.
Getting the wrong fit is upsetting, we know from long experience, please do double check against our HOW WE MEASURE guide, and the measurements table. We recommend you measure against an existing pair of jeans that you like the fit of, and then choose accordingly. If you have any doubt about size PLEASE email us, we are so familiar with getting the right fit.
This is a sanforised jean. The process of sanforising denim is designed to remove all of the shrink from it, and take away the guess work of the wearer when purchasing denim. Sanforised denim can be worn straight from the package.
Washing should be done with the jeans turned inside out, and creases should still be straightened if tumble drying is required to avoid unsightly marks on the denim. As with all natural woven fabrics the denim will feel tighter after a wash, but it will stretch back out to its original size. If machine washing we recommend washing at no higher than 30 degrees celsius.
